I believe I have my settings ‘wrong’ as well in order to deliver it ‘right’ back to the avid editors, it’s another case of trial and error workflow adaptation…
I receive my sourcefiles from avid as 709, but have to render them as rgb for them to look the same when importing back in avid…

What did you choose in the codec settings, 709 or RGB?

Parts of the animation you might be able to capture with ‘motion sketch’.
Start the recording, do the action yourself with your mouse and refine…

Depending on the type of animation, you could use expressions in stead of keyframes on your layers, and drive those expressions with markers. Slide the markers around and your animation follows.

Could it be a ram-issue? Sometimes, when I have too many programs doing stuff at the same time, my cursor becomes ‘sticky’…

Maybe there’s a fill-effect applied somewhere down the line?

You’ll have to follow the textlayer on its journey, maybe through many precomps, untill you reach the finish line…
