Thanks. That answers my question.

It varies. I have music which is sometimes stereo and sometimes mono. But all music files have two tracks. I also have field tapes of various forms – AVCHD which is stereo and analog video which is usually mono wit two tracks.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I called AJA and it turned out I needed to download a driver update and then make the proper settings. That fixed it.

Thanks John. I really appreciate this email.

Thank you so much for your supportive response to my query. I have imported material into the Media Composer 6 trial version and see that my graphics card and my OSX will work just as you said. Think I’ll take the plunge since you say the water is fine.

That is what I am talking about for my website – rememebertimeneverwas.com. I click on the image or video icon after placing my cursor where I want the image or video to go. I then select from my media the image or video. What I am hoping will happen when I execute is that the image or video will appear on the page I am working on. What I get is an icon. You can download the video or image and you can then see the image or video on your computer.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need a plug-in? How can I fix this so that I see an image or video on any given page not an icon that you need to download in order to see the image or video?

Thank you so much for your response. I did buy, when I bought the camera, the 128 GB Flash Memory. I also bought a Tiffen UV filter protector. I will give serious thought to the handle zoom control. For establishing shots where I am looking for production value and interviews, I use the tripod. Beyond that point, I do a lot of hand holding. That is why I asked about a brace, steadycam or the steadycam item in the menu. I went through a training video that came with my camera and did lots of menu settings but I left many of the picture controls in factory settings. My thinking was that I would like to control picture ‘look’ in post and providing an unfiltered video image might allow me more flexibility. Is that a good way to go?

“uploading the videos to a webpage server” and “adding iDisk functionality to a site”
Thanks

I would, if it is possible, prefer to avoid YouTube. I will be posting videos that are not yet completely cleared (rough cuts for clients, friends, etc. to make comments on). YouTube would be an option down-the-line.
