    Hello

I just want to unearth this thread to give my experience. Im a camera director that work primarily with multicam setups for live events.

I had tons of troubles with the kipro (not the rack version).

Most of the time where problems occured, when pressing stop, there is no “closing file”, and your file is then useless. It happened a lot to me (like 6 times out of 50 recordings..).
Aja always says it is a user error : you ejected the disk wrongly, you didn’t plugged the disk properly…

I work in protect electrical environement (with generator etc…) and nothing gets plugged or unplugged while we are on air, and reccing. I never found a proper way to recover those files.

    I don’t use kipros anymore.

  • Hello

I digging up this post because I have the exact same issue, but with a brand new decklink monitor.
Works great interlaced, but with any progressive timeline, there is no output !

I’m also in pal land !

I need to check the picture with pal composite. I had not turned on the monitor in two years.
I had to turn the bias green to the min and also in the service menu to get somewhere.

    I hope it is not a capacitator…

I am thinking abour buying a 1710 with hdsdi board (I can get one with zero hours…).
What do you think it would be worth ? (I really don”t like fkat screens…)

    Hello

I received the sdi card and proceeded to install it. I find myself obliged to buy the bkm101c manual to be able to locate the right places where to put the cables.

The little card that comes with the sdi board needs to be plugged in the centerof the bottom card. The long white cable needs to be plug on the same board, but really near the front of the tv. I spent quite a bit of time to locate it even with the manual…

It works fine ! The only issue I’m having now is the blacks are green…. I tried to set the bias but it changed only a little..
    Thank you !

Thanks a bunch for the reply.

Is it a straitforward install or should I buy the bkm101c manual ?

Also, did these cables enabled you to have embedded sound ?

    Hello !

Well I am aware that this thread is super old, but I am in need of the same information.

I have a pvm 14M4 and which to install a bkm-101c into it. The problem is there are 2 wires and pluggs I have no idea where to put.

Have you solve your problem or has anyone a copy of the sont bkm-101c user manual ?

    Thank you

  • Hi !

    Me again.

I havec another related but strange issue on my disapointing station.
    I work with mpg2 HD (hp@hl) videos.
The playback is fine for about 3 seconds, then it pauses (the soung goes on) for about 5 seconds, then it starts stuttering.

I would blame it on my cpu, but it does not go over 60% (4 cores).
The memory is 40% and the HDD are fine as well.
The quadro sleeps confortably, as it cannot accelerate anything at this point.

I tryed xdcamHD, dvcproHD and custom (1920×1080, square) presets.

What could be the bottleneck ?

Anyway, I guess I’ll be on the market for I7 and 2011 socket…

  • Hi.

Thank you for your responses. I update PP to 5.5.2.

OK. I’m a bit disapointed ’bout AME.I guess my cpu is too weak then. Is there any hardware card out there that could help me read multi flux of avchd.(I tried a decklink but it was no better)

Also, I exported a 1080p film to a 576i (dvd mpg) format. The quadro should be at play doing downscaling, right ?
Well; if I do that in PP, it is OK, and the thing is done in 3 min.(the GPU goes up to 60%)
If I send it to Adobe media encoder, it takes 15 min. The gpu stays at zero. Is there a way to enable cuda in media encoder ?

    Thank you.
