Here is a more recent article (3 years ago ) they are using NFS manager but maybe the settings can be of inspiration for your IT. I know i did succeed to get a working solution back then. At first one problem I encountered then was the fact that the NFS server we had was doing problems with the bundles by treating them as folders…???

Since you already have this computer monitor that you want to correctly calibrate, the only solution that i can think of is the use of a hardware LUT box … most of then are SDI so a 4K HDMI LUT box can be difficult to find…

You must use a calibrating device with this external LUT box to calibrate your monitor.
I did find an HD HDMI to HDMI LUT box…but I don’t know that brand:

This could resolve your problematic.

Using LUT plugins in or above the timeline to try calibrate your monitoring is not a good option.

Macbook retina 2013 , el capitan 10.11.6 ( this is my reference clean machine) seldom use it but for testing
I daily work on my iMac updated el capitan 10.11.6 both latest pro apps … I get no correct TC burn from Compressor 4.3.1
Tested with
Canon C300 MXF source
Editready Sony PMW-F3 converted
Quicktime movie with time code track added
Sony F55 MXF original footage

all source material TC are correctly read by FCPX and Davinci 12.5.4

Definitively a BUG in compressori 4.3.1
I can reproduce same problems.
I also tried both droplets , then did a direct setting adding a TC generator and get the same wrong results .
I did send a feedback

Your project should be PAL SD, 720×576 anamorphic, 25p or25i then you can do a share using MXF 4:3 IMX50 compressor setting.

but if you want to apply same fx with same mask … just copy and paste the fx : you get the same mask but with same fx

FCPX 10.3.1 – shape mask are usually located just under the fx control in the inspector : can be turn ON /OFF or just deleted and the fx is then full frame …

If the goal is mostly to import selects, you could use VCC “virtual camera card” to import only parts of very long clips into a temporary library saving imported clips externally then using tags and folder to structure external keywording … and reimport the result in final editing library
