From QT7pro. Size defaults to “current size” – and when I manually selected HD1920x1080 it would put 1888×1062 in brackets… ?
There must be something in one of the media clips that were wonky. When exporting with QT7 on other pieces of media this does not happen… So it leads me to believe QT is ok, and that the actual media has some little nasty bits.

I did not do anything to select it in-stead of the built in bluetooth module. I just plugged it in, started up the MacPro and then used my wired mouse to set up a new bluetooth device…
That’s as far as I recall… It’s been a while since I rebuilt the system. Try it and let me know if it worked for ya.Francois

I had the exact feeling of cold blood running though my veins when I got the same reply from them back in the day… I must admit I was pretty sour with them turning a cold shoulder to a problem triggered by their device… However, if you’d like to run Resolve, Kona is not an option for that machine.
As I said. A $12 USB Bluetooth Plug allowed me to carry on with my life. My grading suite is running like a dream with Resolve. And a wireless mouse 🙂

Yes. Once you plugged the USB bluetooth module in, the mouse paired fine with that. It’s been running smooth for quite some time – no problems.

After a disheartening conversation with BM, I was basically told to get a wired mouse. They are aware of the problem, but were apparently “unable to replicate it on their test machines” – so that leaves them without a fix. Come one guys…?!
I suspect that the card messes with the PMU that supplies power to the bluetooth module. Either that, or the card emits some sort of signal that messes with the bluetooth reception to the point that it stops breathing. It only occurs when the driver actually fires up the card. Installing the card without the driver does not invoke the problem.
Whatever it is, my solution turned out to be a $12 IOGear bluetooth USB plug. Just plugged it in and into the sunset I mouse.
Done. And done.

UGGGHHhhhh. This totally sucks.
Just installed a DeckLink SDI into a MacPro 5.1 and KABOOM. The black magic turns my magic mouse into stone. Seems like the magic from apple and the black from BM is just not friends…No solution still? Anyone solved this one yet?

Yup. That’s exactly it.
This machine will be used for AE, PPro, C4D a lot.My current setup is a 5770 for GUI, and Q4000 for GPU. But at the price of the flashed 470 / 480 an extra 250 CUDA cores are tempting for sure. That means I’ll slide the Q4000 into GUI in slot2 and 470 / 480 into slot1 for GPU.
I know the 480 would definitely require external power. But I’m kind-of still stuck on the question if I could scavenge power for the 470 internally. Thoughts here are welcome between the 470 & 480 since they have the same amount of cores, right?
Anyone using the Newegg GPU power box? What’s your wiring plan? I don’t want to leave my box open.

a. Do I assume correctly that you’re running only one card? the 470 for GUI & GPU in one?
External power might be the way to go. I don’t want to fry anything or have a half-breathing setup.b. I hear ya for Resolve. But the Q4000 will definitely work its magic when we flip to Cinema4D / AE and other apps that does not look at the GPU. – This machine has to do it all!
