I am still in the process of putting everything together for my Windows 7 64-bit system. This will be for use with SONY Vegas Pro 12 and I want to know ahead of time as well if there are issues and if any further updates for v3 will be released?. I have a Intel dual Xeon-core system that I am building.

I too would be interested in hearing about any fix or suggestion as well.

I too have had issues with some of the physical products I get in the mail. I used a special program to make sure the DVD was readable but there was a rash of bad DVD’s I was getting from them.

I am thinking maybe they should have stayed in Flordia making the DVD’s instead of shipping all of those things to India where the President/CEO of DJ lives.

I certainly hope they bring back the forum but if they do not, then my theory of them squelching the complaints still holds true.

Hi Alan,

Sorry I was busy and I just got around to trying again. I do see v3.0.9 listed now, but I had already manually downloaded the new Emitter library and installed it before checking so I’m not sure if the Emitter will show up next time in the Update check.

Hi Alan,

Solid and See-thru Balloons with strings attached if possible would be good. Either Single balloons and or small groupings of them would also be good.

Let me know if you need to see a graphic sample. I see some on the net, but not sure if I should attach here since they are most likely copy protected images.

I appreciate you posting those responses and Yes, I am also waiting for the “Quarterly” Emitters to be released as well. This seems to have been pushed back farther and farther behind.

I certainly hope this is not a sign of things to come for pi3.

I can understand your frustration but antagonizing Alan will not get you anywhere. I would love to hear what GenArts has in mind for pi3 and if they will release a new 64bit edition version for us Windows users. ( a re-write of the code I’m sure would be needed especially since HD take processing power)

I am going to be needing HD soon as my camcorder records in 1920 x 1080 high definition video. Since I use the camcorder for family events and such, I do not record in short burts so I am concerned as well about the slowdown you mentioned. When I have more time, I will try to edit something in HD in pi3 and see how it goes in terms of speed, etc. I am going to follow these great instructions from Elvis Deane – https://www.shockingtales.com/illusion/tuts/scalingUpForHD.html .

Joe, what did suppport at genarts dot com say when you e-mailed them about your questions? I am curious.

Alan,

I was just thinking of something and maybe others can chime in. It would be nice if you released new Emitters, but maybe FIRST start redoing some of the older emitters already released for HD format so users do not have to wrestle with adjusting multiple settings, etc.

Would this be possible? Re-release some of the original emitters you have released but for HD format instead?

I think that would be extremely helpful, unless I’m missing something.

I too would like to see more emitters. Something like Birthday Balloons, Balloons, etc. I use pi3 for creating little birthday videos for people at work and that is one thing that is still missing. Animated balloons stuff for birthdays or anything else related to Birthdays.

I do hope that plans are still “in the works” to improve and update pi3. I hope that the Quarterly releases start back up again.

A x64 bit edition of pi3 will be eventually be needed since Microsoft Windows will be only x64bit very soon.

I hope this is an “active” product.
