Actually – one more question on how to do this –

you say my often used video clips can go in a favorites bin I can park anywhere – but I am having trouble seeing how I can make a bin that comes up on any project I am in. I know how to make a new bin in my project panel, but that seems to be specific to that project. I need a bin with my audio and video clips in it that will always be accessible in every project I work on. Does that make sense?

I’m so used to it that if I edit on a different system, I’m constantly reaching over to my left for the wheel and buttons.

would you happen to know if I could assign shortcuts like ctrl/v (blade) or insert paste (shift v) to the buttons, and if so, is there any lag?

ha ha- yes, i can do that, but wouldnt want to, as im pretty used to my ” one taller than minimum” track height. thanks anyway though for the quick replies.

wow! would you believe I never noticed the arrows and how that little movement up or down changes them. I guess I whip em in there so fast I just havent noticed. Is there a way to lock those arrows so when I drag text down it never inserts? I drag text so much, and so fast, it kills me to think that I would have to start being that gentle every time I place my text.
