    Hmmm….

    thanks for the information.

AANNDD…. against all odds it worked! I swear I tried that repeatedly yesterday, but today it likes me

    thanks

ps- on some threads people say the camera could have a bad capture card, a quick way to make sure b4 sending it in for service is to try capture in iMovie, just to make sure it works.

    yes please, which settings?

  • same problem here, as near as I can tell, its a REAL noise, not transmitted through the cable. so having the mic near the lens is the problem.

i didnt hear it when i had the 10 foot cord hooked up and the mic mounted a ways away.

    hi!

of course, make sure your phantom power / aa battery is all set in however you are supposed to configure your mic, but with my xha1, here was the important part:

turn on the 12db gain microphone setting.

i think its under audio set up.

Using my simple Rode mic, this was the key, sounds great.

Hey all, I am in the same boat! please help?

I have checked my camera settings, and tried all the “obvious” camera settings to no avail

could someone maybe post the FCP settings just to make sure that they are OBVIOUS?

I just got back with 32 hours of awesome footage from Nairobi and am excited to dig in… but not using iMovie, lol

    Thanks,
    Jeff
