    That’s a nice example!

A good tip for exteriors is to keep the sky out. If the shot is already made then add a gradient mask to the sky to make it look like dawn.

If the sunlight is going to be the moonlight then you can add a blue tint to the scene. Shooting with the sun in the front or as a back light can be helpful too, but that’s not a rule.

I remember the old “El Santo” movies (in Mexico), where night scenes where shoot in midday with low exposure. You could only see the bright sky trough the trees and the action was completely dark. Not a good “day for night” technique.

Maybe the concept of film look will never disappear. It may evolve. As viewers get more sophisticated, storytellers will have a wider range of “looks” to get an emotional hit into our minds.

Or maybe as consumer camcorders get a more filmy look, we will gradually forget what was the video look at all!

But that day is not today. When someone ask me for the “film look” I just say yes and keep shooting as planned.

Just download the free version and place the uncompressed folder in your root.

Here are some instructions on how to use it. You need a line of js in your document header and a form.

    Look at the examples here

    I hope this helps

I used to place plain text with the <pre> tag and the same problems you mention happened to me.

I suppose you could simply delete the lines of code that are showing in your page. They’re just empty comments.

If you want alternate content for a Flash site, I’ll recommend you to use swfobject to embed your swf. This way search engines will look at your content. Also, people with no flash.

I saw once a music CD from a company with the name of the producer. And that was the company executive itself. Can you believe it?

When a client ask me for for a discount I’m not willing to give I say: “If you think this project worths the investment, I’ll be happy to work on it.”

I try to never say no, even when I say it.
