I would also like to know the answer to this question. My camera is a canon HF100. I use the software that it came with (Pixela ImageMixer3) to import my footage mainly because I like the way it renames my clips based on time and sorts them by date.
Is there any degradation when switching from .mts to .m2ts? Are they equivalent? I would prefer to keep using the importing software as long as there isn’t any loss of quality occurring that I am currently unaware of…

I don’t think the Studio versions have that feature. Oh well. Maybe Santa can get me a copy of the Pro version.

That seems to do the job (for speeding clips up), but why doesn’t the length of the clip change to adjust for the new speed when you adjust the playback rate?
For speeding events up, it just plays the clip more than once.
If I slow down a clip this way, only part of the original clip plays in the time adjusted event.
It definitely speeds things up for me but seems weird that it doesn’t adjust the length of the clip.

The bulge effect really adds the third dimension feel it was lacking. I used the Multiply blend mode and that made the white (my daughter) of the ultrasound footage the same color as my wife’s skin. It looks pretty good now.
I am going to keep tweaking it and I will repost if I have any breakthroughs.
