hi guys,
i heard about the new atomos samurai, looks great !!
all in 1, monitor, recorder, just using cheap 2.5″ hdd or ssd.
but i got just 1 issue with my varicam he model
it’s the hd-sdi audio output.
i connected the camera to an aja kona he and to a convergent design xdr and no audio signal has been detected ….
i know that audio is embedded from hd-sdi output and i’ve called panasonic support here in italy and they confirmed that.
i should capture audio too from hd-sdi monitor out or hd-sdi ee output … am i wrong ?
maybe my varicam got a problem with the embedded audio ?
i didn’t find instructions in the manual and in the camera menu about audio embedded.
i need ur help before to buy the atomos samurai !!

at aja told me that i can capture only 24 or 30 from 720p60 … i’m really confused guys …

u r speaking about the varicam 60hz camera not the new 2700 50hz, right ?

just read what they say at the convergent design about nanoflesh and varicam :
