I didn’t see any text in my test.
Could be the overlay in your menu is set to on.
You can change the “display output” to just the LCD and viewfinder (P. 84 in manual).

    Hope this helps 🙂

I had the opportunity to test for myself this weekend.
When the output is set to SDI, The video signal is output thru both the SDI and HDMI. This means you can feed a projector/mixer with SDI and a monitor or streaming device with the HDMI.

    Hi John,

Wow! Thank you for running that test.
I ended up purchasing the following SDI to HDMI converter
ATOMS2H002 from Atomos. I liked this one better because the battery options give it a longer run time AND as a bonus can use Sony L type batteries (which I have plenty). I hope this will do the trick.

I am a little concerned that the NX5 manual indicated that this should be possible, but now I am prepared.

    Many thanks

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to test before the event. No problem hooking up the hdmi, but I do not have any sdi equipment for hook up. I was hoping someone in the Cow Community has utilized this type of setup. 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I assume this info is from personal experience :). FYI: The NX5 manual indicates that if you select HDMI output, the SDI is also active ( see page 56 of the manual) …… Unless I am reading this wrong. But, if not, what is the least expensive method to accomplish this… Keeping in mind that the stream box only has n HDMI input, and due to long cable run, SDI for the projector. Thanks

I went with the LCD4Video and did a test run. Works well. I will be using it on a few projects next month. Thanks for the advice 🙂

    Thanks for the input.
I have the Teleprompter+ app and it seems to work really well.
You mentioned that it takes a good hour to set up the LCD4Video.
I wonder if the Prompter People version is a faster set-up and why there is such a price difference between the two (about $250).
    Thanks for the info.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes. Set and forget is ideal for me … right now. Perhaps I will add a tower at a later date.

It seems that there are many Primera users out there 🙂
It looks like the Microboards printer uses a conveyer belt method instead of the robotic arm and was hoping for some feedback on its reliability/quality.
