Yes my system is not too good at handling raw h.264 footage so I definately need to convert to a larger editing format

Right so the DNxHD codec depsite it being for Avid sytems would still be good for PPro CS5? Is this what you usually do with 7D footage

Just out of interest is there anything else which is specifically suited for PPro CS5

I have been trying to use Cineform Neoscene …. which is good and they play fine in quicktime however when I import into PPro I seem to loose the audio on my clips half way through

I have tried accessing them through PPro…however they seem to be very disjointed/stuterring and include like a black and white clock time code at the beginning.

When I put the DVD into my computer it wont play through iDVD or anything …there is just one single VIDEO_TS folder which contains all the VOB, IFO and BUP files…. is this a muxed set of files (spl???)

So far I have downloaded mpeg stream clip (along with the mpeg-2 component from Appple) and it seems to play correctly now within mpeg streamclip…which is great.

My only problem is that the project I’m importing the footage into is 1920×1080 … and this footage is 704×576… I’m really not too sure what I should export it as through mpeg streamclip … I’m guessing that all I can do to preserve the quality is keep it as 704×576 and export as a Quicktime Animation?

and then use it as best I can 🙂

Ok will set up a normal DVD 720×576 (D1/DV PAL Widescreen 1.46) sequence as it’s going on DVD

The images are .tiff …would I need to convert them into jpeg or psd? would I need to resize them to 72 dpi? (as 300 dpi means nothing in the video world correct)

Also would I need to go into Photoshop and make sure the pixel aspect ratio on each of the images is D1/DV PAL Widescreen 1.46…before I import them into Premier Pro or should I leave them at 1.0 Square Pixel?
