    I’ll give it a try.

    i think my problem is: cutting a film – no problem, but I don’t understand and the technical/format foundations.

    Thanks, I just this minute literally finished exporting a self contained QT and even that was jerky on playback before i even bothered sending it to compressor. I have done 5 exports – each taking an hour plus and every single export is wrong.

    I dont suppose you can suggest to me the export settings I should be using once in compressor – I must be using the wrong frame rate or something? It was shot 25p and I’m using 25 as the frame rate – is this wrong?

    Yes, I noticed that after I posted – what a moron I am.

    I have exported via compressor, with 25fps, progressive rather than interlaced. It’s obviously not half as bad, but still jerky in places (panning with a bus moving etc) . I did export apple pro res 422 HQ, so i will try again, with H264
