I am just trying to move an individual clip that has one transition at the beginning and one at the end of it. When I do, the clip moves, but not the transitions, both are left alone in the timeline…weird?

I am coming from fcp 7

thks for this James, but what about “losing” the transitions on the way when I move clips that have transitions?
I mean that I change the position of my clip but my transitions are staying, so they don’t move!?

But does this mean i can’t open any final cut X docs from and external hard drive? i was working from an external connected to a computer, which was connected into our network. So basically I am trying to grab those docs from an external connected to another computer…this will never work then?

Ivan! thank you so much!!

I adjusted the volumes now, and most of them worked, there is one that don’t but also doesn’t work on the source window..so it might be corrupted, but rest are fine!

last question: what will be “standard” for volume in dB? you said to adjuSt audio gain…what is thE normal volume I just use for gain? and for master in audio mixer window?

Joseph! thank you…this is a very good explanation….but I have a timecode at 24fps…do drop frames exist at 24? ( stop-motion world)…

also, you seem to know about subtitles too…I am doing the timecodes now…is it standard to break the timecodes into each sentence? meaning I will give them the timecode thinking in the way i will add the subtitles or I will add the time to match exactly in the way the actors talk?

i am doing a new timecode into my final master…
Starts at 01:00:00:00

what do you mean with drop-frame??
