Yeah, but if they were displayed as separate sequences, there wouldn’t be 3 THOUSAND of them to look at.

No, I’m not having any trouble with importing or anything – I’m just tired of looking at 3000 files and trying to find the right sequence in AE when I can see them as separate sequences in other software. I thought someone might be able to point me to a plugin that worked this out.

    Thanks anyway for the response.

Actually no, I’m not talking about the project window. I’m talking about the “Import File” dialogue box. When you select “Import File/Multiple Files”, the thing that pops up for you to browse for your file.

Sometimes I’ve found that this works when nothing else does:

Create a completely new project, then import your old project into the new empty one, and save as a different name.

Also, deleting everything in your render queue window has helped me in the past.

    Hope this helps!

Ok, cool! I didn’t know it was so easy. I’d love to here the “automate it based on layer index if you have a bunch of layers” bit.
    Thanks again.

WOW! That was exactly what I needed! One day, I’ll get the hang of expressions, hopefully.
    Thanks again.
