That was so SWEET! But I didn’t have to tell you that because you know what your doing. One of the best samples I’ve seen from the AF-102.
Thanks for sharing.Blog https://www.eriknaso.com

That’s not good news. I keep hitting gotchas lately with Premiere Pro 5.5. I’m a FCP7 editor looking to advance to another NLE. I like Red Giant effects and Colorista II a lot and it works great in final cut except for the rendering but the adjustment previews are real-time with both preview and waveform. I need that same functionality with premiere pro 5.5. I have a bunch of CC to do and was hoping to use Ppro to do it.
I did a XML out from FCP7 and opened it in premiere without a hitch until I tried to playback with AJA card. Original sequence has settings baked in so I had to copy and past into a new sequence to see playback with AJA card. Not a big deal but still a workaround.Blog https://www.eriknaso.com

June 30, 2011 at 2:32 pm in reply to: Two New Micro 4/3 AF Lenses: 12mm f/2.0 and 45mm /f1.8Wide and fast. Interesting. I really wish more video orientated lenses would come out. I’m surprised that no new ones have been released yet.

Sweet! I grew up learning how to play classical guitar.
The AF-100 shines for pieces like this. Well done. I would have liked to see more extreme tight shots of the guitar, like the fret board and his crafty fingers. Almost macro. But that’s just me.Blog https://www.eriknaso.com

Interesting test. I’m not sure how you would run and gun with that setup. I saw a AbelCine demo with a B4 lens on the af100 and it was huge. Would need a shoulder rig for starters and counter balance. By the time you get it all setup you could have got a Varicam. Ok maybe not. Its still fun to build a frankencam.

It sure would be great if Fujinon would make a MFT ENG lens but that will probably be a long time coming.

Guy really covered that one well. Keep in mind the field of view on the AF-100 will make a SLR 25mm more like a 50mm.

I love the 17-40! Its a fun lens to use. Kind of pricey for a F4 but just plain fun to use. I shot a promo with this and a Zeiss ZF 85mm. Worked well together.

June 8, 2011 at 4:30 pm in reply to: significant advantages on the F3 over AF100 to justify the costI don’t see how the two cameras can be compared as a which is better. The F3 is so much more expensive and in a different class than the AF-100. To take full advantage of the F3 you would need to pony up for S-Log and that will cost about $20k, the AF100 is less than $5k.
The FS100 is the camera to compare to the AF-100 and if I had a choice I would take the AF-100. The neutral density wheel is a big one. The sensor is so close in size that I don’t think it matters.
As Guy stated I would rent one if I needed 10 bit.Blog https://www.eriknaso.com

I do believe the screw adjustment on the Adaptimax Plus has more travel to it than the Novoflex, I got to the point that I couldn’t spend anymore than the budget I set. These adapters are expensive so you should feel good about what you spend. Regret hurts when you throw done a few hundred on something as boring as a adapter.
MtfServices.com is a good adapter. Its made in Europe like the Adaptimax and the exchange rate is bad so we get hammered even more on the cost.
Good luck!Blog https://www.eriknaso.com
