Yes, I exported an ALE and reimported it. The metadata might have been corrupted. Reimporting an ALE file fixed it.

I have tried both methods AMA/transcode and importing in a 29.97 project (dnx45). Both show incredibly long render times.

I’m currently transcoding in a 23.98 project, and the wait time is much better. 5hrs for a 4hr duration, instead of 88hrs for a 4hr file. I don’t understand why there is such a difference and if anything the 23.98 transcode should take longer since its doing the frame rate conversion.

I tried importing as well into the 29.97 project. I have some clips that are 2-4hrs in duration. The amount of time that it was going to take to import was always 24+ hrs. I let one 2hr clip import for several hours and the time was up to 88hrs. I’m running off an ISIS 5200, and no one else is tying up the system but me.

The problem was solved by doing the following : backed up the ISIS attic and deleted, deleted MCState files and site settings of Avids having the issue and deleted the project settings too.

I found another creative cow post with the exact same problem, but unfortunately no solution:

Thanks, didn’t think so. I heard this is a feature in FCP?

Would definitely be a nice feature.

After I receive the error, I get 40-60 multigroup clips depending on the amount of footage in the sequence. Each multigroup is a section of the sequence. It would be nice to get one multigroup sequence, but it seems like that isn’t possible.

No, it is a brand new project and has been a 23.98 project from the start.

The codec is DNX35 1080p. There is 4 channels of audio for each cam and backup audio. Multi group does work when I only group clips that overlap each other in a sequence.

Yes, both cameras are shot 23.98 at 1080p and this is a 23.98p 1080p project.
