Heads up. In Resolve 8.2.2 you might crash looking at the DNG files.
Also of note, using Adobe CS5.5 and CS6 Premiere Pro you will not be able to import all sequences in the same project.
You might have to create a few.
Some have successfully imported 3 of the 5 in one project without errors.
After Effects however can bring em all in with no problems.
Its fun grading JB shots on Resolve though 😉
I know this an old post but curious as to what transpired from this?
Running Resolve 8.2.2 on Mac Pro 2.93 32GB/ATI5770GUI and CUBIX with Quadro 4000(2), REDROCKET and DeckLink Extreme 3D into a Flanders LM2461W.
My issues mostly is the major lag in playback.
I cant say for sure if we have any issues with the Grading since we just got the system together today.
We can get the Avid Artist to work in Resolve 8.2.x but its been buggy of late where you lose connection.
I haven’t got deep into it with assigning keys to the unit.
Is there a file that we can just simply load into the EU for Resolve?
Have you tried capturing reg DV data without the Beta in the chain?
FCP legacy dealt with analog over digital really well.
Maybe just dump the Beta to DV first then try again.
Man its been years since Ive touched this workflow.
I could test Resolve 9 on an old 2007 Mac Pro just to see if it does.
However, I would have to load Snow Leopard or Lion just to try this.
Now even it runs, its really your call how slow/stable you would like to work.
We cut years of work on Avid MC on a 2010 uni 17″ 8GB RAM/7200RPM drive MBP. Before that it was the 2009 early uni 17″.
Im not sure if we’re up to doing this with a reg 15″ so it might have to be retina and a second display.
The express slot was loaded with GTECH miniRAIDs eSATA.
I tell you, that made cutting a 70 XDCAM disc project plausible with AMA.
made the mistake of importing AMA and not transcoding for a few months.
bit of a nightmare during MC 4.x.
