ie: Leopard, previous QT etc., please advise. I’ll be manually exporting unless there is a config anyone knows of that works.
Can’t say much about your main issue, you probably are a pioneer on 1.5 an you help improving…
But I have to say that I’m using 10.6.2 WITH Qt 7.6.3. on a MacBook Pro. If I remember well, there’s an Extra Folder on OS 10.6 CDs allowing installation of this previous version of Qt. Being a Qt Pro user, I think I couldn’t be able to work without it, and I still don’t understand where Apple is going with QuickTime X (or 10).
Keep digging… we’ll follow up.

Yes, that’s exact.
HD Decks would allow up to C16
SD allows only 4 tracks
So you were right from the start, doubting this deck of mine had more tacks 😉Man you’re fast on aswers
Thank you so much
Feel much better now -
ok so that’s my point : in my version, the Master to tape Window only shows C1 C2 C3 and C4, while in the user guide (Media 100 MultiChan Audio Out pdf), the Master to tape to SDI window shows possibility of mastering/inserting V and C1 to C16 where I could, assuming I’d have the right version, click C7 C8.
Do I have the right version?

Sorry , that’s the part i’m missing here. How do I turn on audio 7/8. How do I know if I really am acquiring tracks 7/8 from deck and not only assigning the incoming sound to A7-A8 of the system?
I just did what you suggested: B1 (A1-A2) and B2 (A7-A8) and routed B1 to C1 and B2 to C4 and Mastered Inserted C1-C2-C3-C4. Thanks so much for this one.

ok that’s clear.
Then how do I make sure, by digitizing back the tape, that 7/8 have audio on them. It seems that the deck can only offer 4 tracks. How do I reach tracks 7/8 of the deck? Is it a deck specifics question or do you know if there’s a way to ask the system to do so?Eric

It is, thanks Media 100!

It seems, though, that downconverting real-time while digitizing hasn’t been resolved in this release. Or am I doing something wrong?

For me too, while digitizing 1080i Source Standard, and setting Media Standard to 525i 4×3 or 16×9 gives me weird sctatches and colors in the source monitor and, basically, digitizes it.
The only workaround to downconvert HD to SD, is to count on the deck Downconvert feature and digitizing directly SD via the SD SDI output… The question is : are all HD decks (DVCPRO-HDCAM-HDV-else?) provide downconvert features???
