    Sorry about the confusion…

Same for me : 3 buttons only, so no Boris transitions.

When I look in the Transitions Folder (at the App level) there’s a file called : Boris RED Trans.bundle : in the DVEs Folder. It seems to be an After Effects (Universal ) Plug-in…

There’s also this probably-related issue, on the upper thread initiated by Rich Evans, where a RED composition in a/b tracks renders black. I thought my RED worked well ’till then…

All this to say that we have a damn RED issue here.

These switches are available when compositing Boris Titles and/or Compositions on V1 and up tracks as well as animation files with an Alpha Channel. I don’t even see why one would use these switches anyway, but it used to help me recovering some animations with alpha that would randomly go black once in a while.

I always worked with RED in V tracks, and I had never realized that creating a Boris Comp in a/b tracks, for me, doesn’t work at all!!!

I’ve had this problem too before. on v.12.x and 13.x. and yes “render in range” makes it.
Next time you try to render these titles manually from the Edit Suite, just check/uncheck and check again the feature boxes This Clip and Below randomly, it used to work sometimes.

One similar “bug” is happening to me on Suite 1.0.2 nowadays. When I make Time Fx to “Use Preview Online”, not to render them before a final call from the client, adding a Color Fx to these clips, therefore not rendered, and go to “render all” or even “in range” would make these clips go black simply because it can’t render a Color Fx On top of Previewed Time Fx. Must yout render a Time Fx before it gets Color corrected…(?)

that’s bad. I did update with the Suite updater without uninstalling – I assumed it updated the app directly on the drive – with no problem (actually it seems to have solved a few I had).

At the same level of app itself you should have a folder called Filters and another one called Graphics, both should contain – mine do – a file called : Boris RED 4.3 Filter.bundle .

If I was in this situation I would contact support to get a complete 1.0.2 Installer to uninstall an do a clean install from scratch. Or reinstall 1.0.1 -clean with your installer- and re-update.

…risk that I took, QT 7.6.4 with Suite v1.0.2 is fine.

You’re so right! Replacing M100 Color Generated Clips with another one just doesn’t work.

I just tried something: go to Photoshop, create a new file -format matching your Timeline’s-, fill with the desired color and import this color file into a M100 and use it as Cmd+Drag+Drop Replace feature. It should work.

Also, if it’s a M100 generated Color Clip, double-click on it to Edit in Edit Suite, and Click Edit from there. It will then display a Color Palette.
