Im surprised it plays on your player. Which model is it? Did you buy it in the states? It should play fine in EU.

Here’s a PS plug-in I use on every title – good way to fake the anti aliasing. The same or similar tools are use in most studio titles.

Works great in DVDSP and Scenarist. Maybe it will help.

  • Make sure the computer’s software player is set to 16×9

You dont list any VOB files? These are the file which hold the video and audio.

MPEG Stream clip will do this easily but not with IFO files.

There is no PAL in Blu Ray. Here are the specs:

    1920x1080x59.94i, 50i (16:9)
    1920x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    1440x1080x59.94i, 50i (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1440x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1280x720x59.94p, 50p (16:9)
    1280x720x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    Standard Definition Video
    720x480x59.94i (4:3/16:9)
    720x576x50i (4:3/16:9)

    Which one did you use?
I’m pretty sure compressure creates open region title by default.

Definitely not possible on DVD and not possible with Encore’s basic BD authoring capabilities. You will need to move up to the higher end authoring tools like Do Studio or Scenarist…but these cost thousands and take some time to learn. Best to have this kind of work done by a seasoned authoring facility.

What’s your budget? To get the best quality, I’d capture to an uncompressed format then use a good encoder. Remember though, your encode will only be as good as your source – which isn’t great! 🙂

To make things easy just buy a set top recorder and go firewire into that.

No you cannot. You might have to buy Encore if you need custom menus but that tool is a complete piece of sh*t. Have you look at NetBlender’s Do Studio?
