Activity Forums Compression Techniques PAL Blu Ray

I compressed a pal blu ray using program stream in Apple Compressor Ver.3.0.5.
It looks incredible and plays fine on my blu ray here in US. It is going to EU though.

I could not find any settings for Region 2. Does anyone know if this is going to be an issue to play it on a blu ray over there? Or is there
a setting for Region 2 I’m unaware of? Thanks

There is no PAL in Blu Ray. Here are the specs:

    1920x1080x59.94i, 50i (16:9)
    1920x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    1440x1080x59.94i, 50i (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1440x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1280x720x59.94p, 50p (16:9)
    1280x720x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    Standard Definition Video
    720x480x59.94i (4:3/16:9)
    720x576x50i (4:3/16:9)

    Which one did you use?
I’m pretty sure compressure creates open region title by default.

Thank you. That answered my question if Compressor automatically creates open region. My project is 1920×1080 50i 25p. I contacted Verbatim the disk mfg and they said it would play there no problem.

Im surprised it plays on your player. Which model is it? Did you buy it in the states? It should play fine in EU.

My player is a Samsung BD-P1600. And the picture is amazing.
