Nothing on the Mac but there are tons of PC tools which can do this. Never heard of VC-1 on a Blu Ray.

Well you might as well use Flash then. Besides there are tons of bugs in the Flash Converter. Encore is a DVD Authoring tool made for DVDs so No, you can put a DVD project on a CD. 🙂

In theory you could have over 10,000 still menus on a disc. But your talking about motion menus here so you would quickly go over the size limit. Remember a DVD-9 only holds 8.5G and you are limited to 1G per menu domain.

OK…I’ll bite! Why would you want to do that? DVD players play DVDs 🙂

Unfortunately, thats not possible in DVD. Remember, DVD was invented way before the web.

1. definitely a player issue if 2 look fine. Different players, same monitor?
2. player inconsistencies have plagued authors since the beginning. What to you mean “find other chapters”?

Thats good that the new version can out put DDP images. Delivery them on a USB or thumb drive…avoid writing them to disc.

You’ll need to do these calculation yourself in Gear. Cells can be found at the beginning of titles and chapters markers (PTT). Its also important that these are set to non-seamless. I haven’t used Gear in years but there are tutorials on there site. Another reason why I love AfterEdit is because it gives you a graphical breakdown of your disc marking available layer breaks and makes them non-seamless automatically.

Its because you sent a DVD-9 as a master…big no no!!! Basically your replicator doesn’t know who to handle the imaging from the disc correctly. The only way (without screwing things up) is to deliver on DLT or write out DDP images with tools like After Edit or Gear.
Give me a buzz if you need this done and dont want to spend the money and time to learn either tool. Or get a cheap DLT drive and a SCSI card off Ebay.
