Hard to say exactly but I imagine it’s just the encoder hiccups at this paticular spot. Quick flashes and cut for example send many encoders into a tizzy.
Media encoder is a very low end encoding tool to begin with. Have you tried other encoders?

Sorry….my iPhone trys to correct my, already bad, spelling. I meant “uncompressed OR lossy” . The normal Prores is fine for DVD
With that much time on a disc you definitely need to go VBR. It will do a 2 pass to determine what bitrate it best for what scenes

That’s because h.264 is a delivery codec and not a mastering one. Spit out an uncompressed OT lossy codec like ProRes and Try it again

44.1 is just your normal CD sampling rate. For it to be worth your effort you’ll need 96 or 192 remastered audio. Taking 44.1 and putting it onto bd will not improve the quality 🙂

You should be asking this to Netblender and DTS support. You’ll get much better info. There no such thing as 44.1K 24 bit PCM. Not sure where you got 88.2.

Be silly to author a DVD-A since nobody owns a player. Also, there has to be video of some kind since BD is a video format
I recently did a 5.1 96k, 24bit DTS Master Audio title that sounded great. good luck

This is call jukebox functionality and is pretty advanced stuff and Encore is not robust enough to help you. DVDSP is what you need to use.

Those number aren’t that far off. The best you can do is maybe 2 or 3 x runtime with a 2 pass VBR encode. Burning shouldn’t take that long. 1 hour max
There’s isn’t a facility in the work that could deliver this is less than a 7 or 8 hours
I encode without audio all the time. As long as your audio matches your source video, it should be fine. Find out why they are encoding and authoring with
The real question however is why is this being discussed 24 hrs ahead of the deadline? 🙂

I don’t get it…..why not buy a blu ray burner? Why would you want to convert VHS to blu ray?
