DVDA should do fine along with Encore. Here’s a list of tools:

Unfortunately, that is only guide to help you during authoring. It’s not supported by the DVD spec

It’s because you don’t have your Player set up properly according to your monitor. Look in the players menu
How and why are you set up pan/scan? Did you encode p/s? That needs to be letterbox
Also, did you remember to encode 16×9, not 4×3?

DVD is 720×480 so your Flash will be as well. Regardless, its best to do your flash project separately. The DVD to Flash option is not a good workflow and often doesnt work correctly

Yeah….I went to high school with Jon and Todd and now they run the largest post house in the area. They bring me on as a freelance DVD/BD author and designer for jobs like yours.

the best resolution DVD allows is 720×480 NTSC or 720×576 PAL.
