Did you try moving your tracks in different order in your outline? I usually place my track from the smallest on top to the largest on the bottom and this usually works. I think this is some kind of minor bug that needs fixing up as long as you have a working disc image your good to go.

I’ve had this problem as well some times as well. Build a disc and it usually works fine. Making a new project usually helps the issue.

Just to add here…there are no real specifics with MPEG2 video. It can be whatever you like but if it’s for DVD then, like David said, your limited to certain frame resolutions.

APack should be used to transcode your audio to AC3. It was folding into Compressor some years ago. Look for APack and use that to trancode those AIFs into AC3.

Follow the advice in LifePrint’s thread. The length of your video(s) determines the bitrate and use AC3 audio.

Check in your inspector in Compressor

AC3 is Dolby. Check your bitrate first. You can keep it below 7 for a 1 hour piece and use that AC3 audio and see if that helps. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Wasn’t sure if you saw the other post…but as far as HD or BD-J authoring goes…
Since Hollywierd is the only place really putting out HD or BD-J discs at this point your PROBABLY not going to find much outside of Southern California. But for a HDi or BD-J coder your looking at $60,000 – $100,000 mark. Also, these companies and studios are looking for computer programmers not SD DVD authors (but that will help). A strong background in internet design (XML, Java and HTML is a msut)

Those glitches are probably related to your overall bitrate. The DVD spec can only handle roughly 9.8 mb/s. The first thing to ask is how long is your program? This will affect how low or high you can go with the bitrate because you have limited space on a disc. The second question is – did you use AC3 audio? AC3 has a much lower bitrate than AIF saving you loads of bandwidth withing that 9.8 mb/s spectrum.
You can adjust your bitrate in Compressor in the Inspector
