It’s 5 weeks of footage and nearly 100 hours.
It would be great to not have to redo it.

After effects is the best way to handle timelapses. But your resolution is 4-5k with those raw images. Which I’m sure you won’t be outputting to. Edit the raws in Lightroom or photoshop then export them as PNGs with the long edge at 1920. (Assuming you’re editing in 1920×1080.)

Lightroom>FCP is an easy workflow. If you want to ramp your exposure of the images you can use LRTimelapse.

I’m merging 8 tracks of audio to my video. Most of the footage was logged with blank audio tracks so that’s how I get 10.

I like the subclip option I’m going to try that ASAP.

I had wondered about simply changing the size of my solid layer but thought I would consult the more experienced and knowledgeable.

Also I wanted to know so I can work myself out of a silly situation if I find myself there again in the future.

I know this post is nearly 2 years old but I’m having issues with this.
I want a 5 frame cross dissolve as my default transition.

I draged and dropped Cross disolve with the length of 5 frames to my favorites folder and then made the copy my default but it still is 24 frames default.

Thoughts?
