    Hi Steve,

I searched both “camtasia” and “podcasts,” but got nothing concerning my question. I wasn’t sure of what you meant by “the sticky at the top of the post page.”

    Thanks,

    Eric

Thank you all for your responses. I didn’t have time to look into the linear compositing, but I’ve put in on my list. In the end, combining directional blur with AE’s motion blur did the trick.

    Thanks again, for the help.

I couldn’t get any sort of confirmation on the 1.25 GB limitation on AE running on Intel.
I appreciate the heads up on some of the Intel/AE issues.

Have you heard that Apple is releasing a new Intel machine – supposedly twice as fast at NAB?

I received a response from the tech department at Gridiron. They say basically that Sys X has a 3GB limit per application. So, AE can theoretically address 3GB. I just asked whether there was 1.25 GB restriction for AE running under rosetta, so I haven’t heard back on
    that yet.

Nucleo/Nucleo Pro creates six iterations of AE and its project when rendering – each needing up to 3GB as far as we know at this point – so the more RAM the merryier. They did tell me that testing showed that a minimum of 2GB/iteration seemed to work well. They weren’t sure just how much benefit the extra RAM would have other than for foreground work with Nucleo Pro, which allows you to work in AE while rendering or other applications.

    Hi,

I ended up using track matte. This works well, unless anyone has any better suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Hi Anarav,

I’m running Premiere on a duel processor Pentium 3Ghz, 2 Gig of RAM.
The media is in the Cineform codec 1280X720 23.976.
I haven’t tried any other type of media. I’m rendering in AE right now; I’ll try some other media once the render’s finished.

    Thanks,

    Eric
