Thanks everyone for the replies. It sounds like I can just export a QT Reference file to make a DVD without rendering. Great advice. I’ll try it today.

To one of the people who replied I’m using AVID Media Composer 5.

Low Frame rate…hmmm. I’ll have to check that out. Not sure how to but thanks so much for checking in.

Thanks for the fast response. It’s actually that the movement itself isn’t smooth. So when I have a graphic logo moving from screen right to screen left it’s just not smooth.

Or when I both zoom in on a photo and angle it it’s not smooth.

I just ordered upgrade from 7.0 to CS5. Package will come in soon. Maybe that will help. I design well but I’m not technically proficient.

    thanks again for your reply.

Wow thanks for posting that video of Automatic Duck in action. I’ve got two clients for whom I do overflow editing. They are both Final Cut. Now I have to make a giant QT Animation file or visa versa.

    This will help immensely!

    Thanks!

After importing the file you may need to transcode it to your drive so it flows into your timline.

Or…..you may have to render the clip into the AVID world.

Also you may want to get Media Composer 5. More accepting of different formats. Hope that helps. Sorry if it didn’t.
