thanks for the audio tip. i de-selected kona 3 in both my system and Pr prefs. Pr seems
to be working better although i can’t get audio if i open a qt or mp3 at desktop level.

one more question-freeze frames?

do you think i limited my options by loading up the fcp 7 keyboard layout? i did spend some time
on the keyboard shortcuts page and it looks like the list on your attached link looks more extensive.
i did check the aja drivers and they’re the current ones. the audio probs still make the system unusable.

xsan via fibre. playback’s not the prob. it’s trying to crop, set opacity between 2 layers, etc.
