Hi Kai, thanks very much, I’ll do that in future. Re the audio drift, my settings match the camera settings but I’ve found a ‘Frame Offset’ box in Playback Control in System Settings in FC and it was set to a default of 4 frames so I’ve made it 0 and will see if that makes any difference. I’m being so SLOW compared to working in Avid but hopefully it’ll pay off eventually! Am self-teaching with Lynda.com.
    Thanks again, Emma

Hi Kai, thanks for responding… I managed to sort the problem by closing everything down and making sure I switched the camera (Sony Z1 minidv) on before I opened up FCP7, then the Print to Video worked. Hurrah! I think I had turned the camera on while FC was open before and that may be why it didn’t dub. BUT I have also noticed a problem with the sync on the audio, it seems to be a few frames out all the time. I can fix it in the edit but it’s v annoying. I’ve just moved over from Avid to FC and haven’t come across this before so any tips gratefully received. Many thanks. Emma
