July 22, 2015 at 4:10 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsI did get a tip form the Sony forum to grab video:
I see now the opposites whats happening, its screen flickering all the time because
of the low FPS (30 on vegas and 60 on external) ?!I only see the flickering when clicking the media but it is reverse what i see i think…:
Could that be it?

July 22, 2015 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsYes was googling again today for PCI-e test software and what chipset/drivers
uses those slots, goes a bit to far now all for me,
as far i could read it’s the X97 chipset and the CPU that controls the pci-e slots or something, i try’d older drivers..and i have to use drivers from 15.7
on now as of the new 3xx series… but ye..wow.. 550e spended now…for what.. 🙁 -

July 22, 2015 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsUPDATE:
I did may choose a other GPU or a replacement as they couldn’t
test the card for my specific problem (no software for it).Anyway, almost went back to NVIDIA but it was no GPU acceleration in SVP13 because of Kepler/Maxwell chips or AMD again and no CUDA for After Effects,
i love and always will SVP so back to AMD, i have now a Sapphire Nitro 390 8GB because of they still have the Grenada/hawaii chip set for GPU acceleration.I bought a new PSU to (corsair 1000w), bought HDMI/DVI-D/DP cables,
try’d every thinkable monitor setup (excluded even monitors and try’d HD TV’s).Installed different drivers with and without Catalyst, just to be sure.
Changed BIOS settings (no OC, GEN 1/2/3 etc.).And guess what…same thing, it is less in after effects but still flashing/flickering when choosing a media file, in SVP it still same
but what i noticed is that when i use external video monitor VIA the trimmer
(never used the trimmer) then its less to but still flashing/flickering both monitors after selecting/previewing several media/files…Well..shoot me…
PS: I did windows experience test..all good

July 13, 2015 at 12:34 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsYes…it’s under investigation right now at the shop, so hopefully
i get a new or other GPU, if they say the card is fine and just
return that GPU then i won’t order there ever again.i just read something about MANTLE to:
https://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/technologies-gaming/mantle#overview
maybe the problem lays there with the bad GPU acceleration,
Or it’s the standard GPU’s OC (overclocked) problem, to much power
consumption could be still i read to as my PSU is 3yrs old…Oh well… have to wait till they call, just hope it’s bad GPU and
it is not after all my PSU or something i didn’t think of. -

July 13, 2015 at 12:03 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsHaha…no of-course not… with “external preview monitor” i mean the “secondary display”…all those terms is making me nuts/confusing,
and my lack of good English properly:) -

July 12, 2015 at 3:20 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 & Asus R9 290x Alot of problemsYes…what am i supoused todo then if the problems are there
after everything is “default” and doesn’t work anyway,
i never had to play with those settings either,
past week was a world opening for me to…
VSYNC, Hz, FPS, Lag, screen tearing, flickering, Freesync, Psysx, etc.But this is all pretty clear by now and not the point of this thread.
I just hope they test the GPU on same setup (2monitors in extended)
and a “windowed” program that uses a external preview monitor (fullscreen)
and that the techincal department have the “problem” to.Have to wait a few days.
