unfortunatly I didn’t see your movies by chance! Thanks again for your reply. It seems to me that it is not of much use to use the Aux Tc in FCP. And not really worth to pay 180 dollars for the programm. Anyway thanks a lot for your help.

I’ll try that soon. The software that you recommended works fine. After importing the files into FCP I have the infomation I want in the Aux TC column. The only problem: is there a way to make FCP include this information in the Timecode overlay window? When I navigate in the clip I can’t see the actual Aux TC anywhere. Could you help me out with that as well?

Unfortunatly this is not helping me with the sound referenz problem. The merged clips I have created even imply the original Source TC(which I can control in the TC overlays) but if I want to trace back to the original clips its not possible as soon as I merge the clips. As long as I leave the synchronized clip unmerged in the timeline I can match back to both picture and sound. But if I drag it from there into the browser, the referenz to the soundfile is gone. And it is not possible to output an EDL including the soundclips.
So I am doubting that I am still on the save side just in case my disk gets on fire and my project is offline.
