so theres no reason why the “where you were line” would ever become the place where cuts happen only the “where you are line” or current time

1 vegas cuts correctly on the very first cut.
2 then when i go to delete a section
3. then play again and press “s” to cut, it cuts at the “where you were line” not at the current time.

yes i have reinstalled and updated to 9b and im still getting the same problem.

I reinstalled vegas
and i updated to 9b
and im still getting that error every single time i close vegas.

I have taken a screenshot of what is happening

1. The video is playing
2. I press “s” to make a cut
3. It cuts where the “black” circle is not at the “white” circle which is the the current time.

its like after I make the first cut, the “where you were line” becomes the active line from then on, and any further cuts happen at the “where you were line” from then on.

what is the difference between using the spacebar and using the enter key exactly?

I am using vegas pro 9

when i first start editing it does as it should and cuts where the current playback point is
but if i touch a clip with my mouse to delete it then press play again it will start cutting from the “where you started from point” and not where the current playback point is.

1 so i press play then i press “s” to cut as the video is playing back and ‘THE VERY FIRST TIME’ it works as it should

2. but then soon as i pause and play again or pause and delete a piece and play again it starts cutting from the ” where you were originally point” not the current playback point. It’s very annoying

I actually have to grab the ” where you started from line” and move it to the current playback line then press cut for it to cut in the correct place for some reason.

yes mine is cutting at the “where you were line ” and not at the ” where you currently are line ” when i press the “s” key. Which is making my editing extremely slow. any idea of how to fix this?
