Wayne Waag and Aleksey Tarasov, thank you!
I have to tell “my story” 😀
I used Text Generation Wizard to create media text events by using a subtitle. This project will be nested into another one above all tracks.
In this subtitle project which contains these media text events (hundreds of them) I need to place markers at just a few points of interest(at just some of the media text). Because when I’ll import this project into another one, I can see these markers and it would be great to also see them named as the media text events which are “attached”.Ellen

May 28, 2015 at 5:49 am in reply to: Video player that plays multiple clips simultaneously?I have found some … “solutions” but I don’t know how to use them.
We can open multiple (for me there will be only 2) instances of vlc media player at oance and these can be controled by an autohotkey generated (hope is the right word) by a script. There is a script, I just don’t know how to use that piece of text to work with vlc media player. So I feel even more frustrated then before.
I have a hd ver of a drama tv series and a hardsubed one. There is no softsub to load in my hd versions and the image quality of the hardsubed one is very poor. It would take hours to render all these episodes in Sony Vegas. Or maybe there are some special settings for rendering that I don’t know of?

May 26, 2015 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Video player that plays multiple clips simultaneously?Hi!
I am also interested.
I have 2 video files. One of them is hardsubed and has a poor image quality and the other one is in HD.
Is there a software that can allow me to play one file in its original resolution and the other one (hardsubed) to make visible only a part of it (the subbed portion) bellow the first one? My monitor resolution is 1280/1024px. The HD version is 1280/720 which means there will be a little space available bellow the HD ver. I also need controls for both of them in case I need to pause them at the same time and I need to mute one of them.Thank you

May 13, 2015 at 6:43 am in reply to: Sony Vegas error: “An error occurred while opening one or more files. An error occurred while opening a codec”Everytime I install a fresh copy of Win7 [or watever version of windows] Sony Vegas doesn’t want to open certain files.
My pc has a 64 bit OS. I installed x264vfw.2273kMod.x86_64 and it didn’t solve the problem 🙁
I also didn’t want that codec pack [windows.7.codec.pack.v4.0.9.setup] I’ll try to learn more about codecs in future so these annoying errors won’t blow my mind anymore.Thank you,
Ellen
