    Thank you for your responses.

How about deleting old column headings completely? Someone here accidentally created the misspelled column name, Coments, and I’d like to delete that so future users don’t select it as a heading but I don’t see anywhere to manage column headings. You can delete Avid’s various Export settings in the Settings tab so I would think it would be something similar but I don’t find anywhere to delete those column headings.

Changing the In in Excel with Batch List is actually easy with a one-time copy/paste of the 00:00:00:01 timecode in the In column, but as I said, it doesn’t hold upon import of the list so does indeed wind up being a waste of time.

Your solution would be great if laying all clips into a timeline didn’t lay them in as their full duration so therefore no handles to ripple edit.

Easiest/fastest way I’ve found is to click each clip’s In timecode in the Browser and type “1” to set the in to 1 frame in.

    FCP feature request!

Thanks for the idea. I adjust the Batch list In in Excel but the modified In resets back to zero upon import. Doesn’t seem to work. Would love if this were a feature same as the right+click “Clear In”!

The reason I need to adjust many clips one frame is they were delivered with a one frame title card at the head so need to adjust to get that out.

That was it, Dave. Footage was at 30 and comp was at 24. Thanks, I appreciate it.

To test i brought in a longer sequence and it’s happening every 5 keyframes, on keyframe 5, 10, 15, 20, 25…. each of these jumps to a different value of 1, then 2 then 3 targas higher… and I can’t make it read the correct targa value. So there’s definitely a pattern but I don’t know why this is happening.

Thank you for this detailed and much needed response. My footage is 23.98 so I don’t know why he went to 24, I think it was a mistake. I’m going to go back and re-render using the native comp settings because some pans are looking jittery.
Thanks so much again, this really helps!

Actually, sorry, one more detail: if all the clips are ten seconds or less, will the 23.98 v 24fps still matter or is it only with longer clips where frames would start to be dropped?
My main concern is that pans will look jittery.
So far the duration of the clips has not been affected, the total running times are correct.

Thank you, VIshesh. I appreciate it, and am going to tell him to change his Comp settings for future.

February 17, 2012 at 9:29 pm in reply to: toggle clip keyframe view not working

Hi, I had updated the post after getting this to work but looks like it didn’t take…
Yes, it must have been just one probably corrupt sequence because I copy/pasted my media into a new sequence and the toggle clip keyframes button works now in that new sequence, though still not in the old.
I’ve created a new project and copy/pasted my media into it, trashed the old project to avoid any further corruption and all seems to be working fine now.
    Thank you for your help!
