Set in-point for multiple clips at once
I’d like to set my many clips’ in-points to one frame in rather than zero. I am trying to find a way to do that by selecting all clips and right clicking in the Browser’s “In” column but not finding a way. I know I can utilize that function to CLEAR the ins across multiple clips but is there a way to set a uniform IN?

not really.
manual is probably the quickest way.why do you want to do it anyway?

Export the bin as a batch list.
Open in Excel and make your adjustments. Not an Excel whiz, but I am guessing there is a way to copy the data from the Media Start column to the In column, then increment all of it by 1 frame.
Then import your adjusted Batch List back into FCP and relink.

Thanks for the idea. I adjust the Batch list In in Excel but the modified In resets back to zero upon import. Doesn’t seem to work. Would love if this were a feature same as the right+click “Clear In”!
The reason I need to adjust many clips one frame is they were delivered with a one frame title card at the head so need to adjust to get that out.

adjust a batch list? surely that would have taken LONGER than just doing it manually?
ok, here’s a way that’s pretty quick IMO:
drag all clips to a new timeline
select 1st edit, toggle selection (with U key) so you are set up for a ripple action
(or just use the ripple tool for that matter)now use > key to ripple 1 frame,
then left arrow to jump to next editthen >, Left arrow away till all clips are trimmed.
you could probably do a hundred in less than a minutenow you can copy / paste back to a new bin.

Changing the In in Excel with Batch List is actually easy with a one-time copy/paste of the 00:00:00:01 timecode in the In column, but as I said, it doesn’t hold upon import of the list so does indeed wind up being a waste of time.
Your solution would be great if laying all clips into a timeline didn’t lay them in as their full duration so therefore no handles to ripple edit.
Easiest/fastest way I’ve found is to click each clip’s In timecode in the Browser and type “1” to set the in to 1 frame in.
