relatedly, I’m wondering if the LaCie d2 Extreme 250G with triple interface will be enough drive to manage my FCP captured media. my old LaCie is struggling, so i’m wary. someone else recommended i get a Granite Digital drive instead. anyone have any opinion? or is there a better drive? the LaCie is far cheaper than the Granite, so i’d like for it to work, of course.

also, i have a brand new MBP, and i wonder if the lack of FW800 is going to be a problem for FCP.
