Right on Shane, thanks…that is what I thought, but just wanted to double check. I remember once when I worked on a spot for the UK, they were very specific about this. I generally do not put the legal on the spots that I work on, as they are often conformed in a Flame or something else.

There actually is a way to move all your media to one place with Media Manager…but I tend to avoid using MM if I can.

I feel like a complete idiot, but I don’t see where you are talking about. I see in the destination area that I can set where the movies go, but not any preferences on how they are named. Where exactly is this pref?

    Thanks,

    Thanks John,
But I was wondering if there was a way to just not have the program add all that stuff…doing it the way you described still requires me to “fix” each one individually, no? I just want it not to add that stuff and keep the name the same.

no…want to stay HD…doing lots of GFX pushins and stuff. Want to convert from 1920×1080 to 1280×720 for file size saving.

I’ve already done this, but to no avail. It is so screwy.

Alright…as long as it isn’t just me…and as long as it reads right in other apps, then I guess it’s cool

    Thanks,

Thanks for the responses guys, will check all that stuff out. I have Joe’s filters Time Bender, but as far as I can tell it works pretty similarly to the built in time remap tool in FCP. Am I just a moron for not being able to wrap my brain around this tool? I think my biggest problem is I am just a visual learner and anything I read about it just doesn’t ever seem to make complete sense to me. It seems like it should be so easy, but I’m missing a key ingrediant to make it make sense in my mind.

…or does anyone know of a plug-in that is better for this. I have read the Ken Stone article, and I want to do what he is mentioning under “limitations”, i.e. just ramp the speed up without slowing it down somewhere else. There must be an easier, mor efficient way of doing this than the cheat that he mentions. Anyone?

    Thanks again,
    Eli
