    Thanks Chris, that’s very helpful.

Are there any disadvantages to compressing the film so it has the same length at 25fps as it does at 23.976fps?

    Thank you!

    Hi Chris,

I have a NTSC 23.976fps (progressive) Apple Pro Res 422 master .mov file and a distributor in the UK is asking for a PAL 25fps (interlaced) Apple Pro Res Master. I tried to do a conversion via Adobe Media Manager, but I get the strange motion blur and softness.

I think you are saying how to do it in your previous posts, but I’m confused over your later posts that say, disregard this number and use this one. Basically I can’t tell when you are “correcting” yourself and when you are saying something “in addition” to your previous posts.

Would you mind writing an exact step by step procedure from start to finish including how to get the audio done without change in pitch. Thanks so much!

    Elias

PS: I have access to FCP 7 & Compressor, Adobe After Effects CS6 & Media Encoder CS6, HairerSoft Amadeus Pro
