    hi im not sure how old this thread is, but to fix it has nothing to do with vegas.
    what you do is on the capture module for the hd pvr, you see where it says PLAYSTATION 3, AVCHD, XBOX 360.
    i believe you have an xbox 360 so when you record you have it on xbox 360, you must set it on AVCHD by click on it.
    then the pvr will capture in .ts format which can be used “properly” in vegas! 🙂 this happened to me if it helped you plz plz plz check out my channel youtube.com/theelazid thanks!
