You should be able to install Deko as a stand alone. Titlemotion should work as a plugin. Just pay attention that it installs into the correct plugin directory. If this does not work it will still work as a standalone.

You may want to try some real time hard drive mirroring software. I don’t know how it will effect performance.

It think is referring to system RAM and not disk space. Be sure to have as few programs running in the background as possible when editing. Check the task manager. Any number under 30 processes is good.

Is this a timeline that has been edited? If so, then the only choice, other than via the sound card, may be to record the timeline to tape and then recapture with the mic as the audio source via the Inertia. Then take the audio file from the newly captured clip and drop it on the original timeline. I do not know of any way to force PPro to use the 1394 interface for audio when doing VO.
Hope this helps.Edward Roberts

Am I correct in assuming this is a notebook? I won’t say that it won’t work, however there are many issues involved with getting video and dual notebook monitor setups to work. First to consider is the that video RAM is shared. The other is to be careful to use the correct video drivers for that notebook. I have found that in some cases the video chip manufacturers drivers work better than the notebook makers drivers and in other cases I have seen the reverse is true.
I would try to change drivers first. If no joy, than you may want to consider a fresh OS install.Edward Roberts

Vista64 will compartmentalize RAM for individual apps to use. 32bit WOS’s will only recognize 3.2GB of system RAM for use for ALL apps when tweaked properly. V64 will allocate up to 4GB for each app. So in a 16GB system running PPro, After Effects, and Encore simultaneously there is a huge noticeable difference in performance AND stability. This all assumes however that all parts of the system both hardware and software are V64 compliant.Edward Roberts

April 1, 2009 at 2:56 pm in reply to: Problem in video capture ( premiere pro 1,5 ) Power supply ?I would definitely suspect the power supply. Personally I would not put anything smaller than a 500w in any editing system. I would also not go with the cheapest. Power issue lead to about 50% of problems that I have diagnosed over the past 20 years.

The 3 biggest contributors to performance are:
1. CPU technology and speed
2. RAM speed
3. GPU card and memory.Recent builds that I have done were based on the new Intel i7 CPU’s, 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM and Nvidia 9800GT video cards. These systems are outperforming my dual XEON based systems that cost $$$ more.
We could squeeze even more performance by putting in workstation level graphics, but the price increase for most is not worth it.Edward Roberts

One issue with integrated graphics on MoBo’s is that memory is shared with the rest of the system.
