Is what David suggests the same as a “cut” and then “paste insert”?
Will this give me more flex as to panning out to get the whole pic showing?

I scanned these photos from old, odd size originals so this may be the issue.

I will keep trying or just take it as far as vegas lets me and call it good.

    thanks for the help

I have most everything. I still get the video coming in on the sides and top and bottom if I try to pan out to get the full length, say of the photo.

    Just one last item.

Now that I have the .iso file, can I safely delete all files in vegas relating to this project and clean up a bit?

yes, thanks I see that now. Have never used .iso before.

Img burn is just great, compared to that bulky Nero.

When I burn the image do I need to do anything special for the audio content??

You know, I looked at what is on the bd disc and it is an iso file but I must be missing something.
I assumed that if I moved the .iso file into nero (will now get the imgburn) that what I would see when playing that disc was my movie copy. Instead I see only the file icon. The file does have 25000 mb of data attached though but again thought I would just get a copy of the movie. That’s all I want.

I keep seeing the term “mount an iso file”, am I failing to do this somehow?

No more long films for me, this took 35 hours to render, like having a baby.

Thanks to all of your help I have a perfect 3.25 hour movie with voice and music on a dual layer bd that plays fine.

But I need help with a copy.

I used Nero 8, drug the .iso file vegas left behind into nero’s burn and only got a copy of the file, not another burn of my of my original movie.

How do I burn a copy of my movie using the iso file?? desperate.

    too may

If I buy the WD media player how to get a blue ray render to save to hard drive as a TS folder, given that you noted earlier the “The WD HD Media Player will not play .iso files but it loves .TS and .m2t, .mts, etc files”. Does seem like the way to go.

In any event, I feel very confident that I won’t loose any of the work I have done thanks to your rather patient help.

    thanks again

Notice that there is no ac3 format for audio with the avc template, only a sony wave (.64)format with a 48000Hz, 16 bit, stereo Pcm.

John, will this work as well?

I don’t think the hdr-hc9 shoots in the avchd mode.

I picked this up on the thread:”For NTSC HDV use the MPEG-2 Blu-ray 1440×1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream or Blu-ray 1920×1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream template depending on your source format.

For AVCHD use the Sony AVC Blu-ray 1920×1080-60i, 16 Mbps video stream template.

will I still be ok with the sony avc if my footage is not avchd?

Indulge me for a minute, what would be the clarity difference with 15000 vs 25000? Or, would it be negligible as it is blue ray?

If I had the pro edition, as you do, could I then adjust the bit rate to fit the disc capacity?

Going from 25000 at 52 gig to 15000 at 27 gig seems like a huge leap.

If I render this 52 gig film to hard drive can I then load it to say a WD passport and play through WD hd media player? Will it play what ever .iso or TS file that is rendered. Maybe this is the way to go with such large projects.

    again, thanks for the help
