De-install it and install it again.
But you HAVE to de-install first, otherwise it assumes you have a correct install and doesn’t do anything.
    Hope it helps,

I thought you were asking about the final render of the commercial.
Yes, the logo movie is of course millions +. Remember that the other logo is an RGB Photoshop file so there’s no render.
Also the alpha in the logo is straight and so it’s checked in FCP.
The reason I used the 15-inch 300dpi logo was to try something radically different from the logo movie to see if it would render a similar problem.
If you send me your email i’ll email you a link to my ftp site so you can download an FCP project with the relevant files.
    Thanks again.

AE render settings: animation millions of colors, the sequence was created by dropping the footge on the composition icon so there shouldn’t be any discrepancies.
Here a screen shot of the results Iv’e been getting with the different instances of the logo renders.
The one in the lower left is the PS logo I told you about… this one is about 15 inches wide at 300 dpi (completely different from the animation logo which is a 720×486 QT movie), and still we get the weird result.

    Hi Jeremy,
the file has been re-rendered in after effects and re-imported to FCP with the same crappy results. Not only that, I created another graphic in PS and gave it some motion and there was the problem again.
As I said before this happens in 4 different machines using different versions of both FCP and QT and also AJA, Decklink and CineWave cards.
I’m trying to schedule a meeting with several FCP pro’s here in SoFla to see if any one has any idea of the problem.
See, until now I’ve been using AE to post produce all my commercials. Only recently I decided to get a Ciprico 320R to save some time with FCP’s real-time features but this “flaw” happened.
It’s hard to believe that FCP wouldn’t be able to handle a moving logo with alpha, so there’s got to be something going on.
    Thanks.

it was created in a 3D program.
I’ve ben using this graphic for over 3 years now and still today it has no problem in other programs than FCP.
The problem also occurs with any moving graphic with an alpha channel. I created out of a PS logo and gave it some movement in FCP and when I tried to render I got the exact same weird results.

Yes, everything was rendered and tests with straight, black and white settings for the alpha gave bad results.
We tested in both 8 and 10 bit and in several different codecs with same or very similar results.

Here’s another frame of the render:

At it’s center it should be transparent but there are many “missing” pixels on the logo.
