Installed a fresh FCS2 on a macpro. Then went to install (first time on sys) new BM6.2.

Installer reported a newer version is installed? which it certainly wasn’t :-/

Installed and all BM codecs there as is the control in sysprefs..

Any ideas? have I overwrittern something ?

De-install it and install it again.
But you HAVE to de-install first, otherwise it assumes you have a correct install and doesn’t do anything.
    Hope it helps,

Wish I’d waited now :-/ lol

just clicked install and in installed fine… it was a clean osx though.. no blackmagic ever installed on it before.. new system(osx) then FCS2 installed then BM6.2.

Seems fine to me.. should I uninstall and re-install again just to be safe ?

    cheers

For what’s it’s worth, I got the same error message upgrading my system from 5.0.4 and BMD 5.8. I had uninstalled the Blackmagic software before installing FCP Studio 2. I went to the install details and it listed everything as an upgrade, except ProRes422, which was unchecked. I left it that way.
