AMA linked files require to transcode prior to export an AAF …that’s the message I get from Avid even with the link to selected.

It’s a AMA issue, I need to transcode to DNX HD to export any AAFs.
I fixed the 6 clips that were causing problems narrowing down the sequence AMA relinking those files, is now transcoding, hope wil get to the end)

That was the old trick to fix it in vs 8
what about vs 9.02?

Is there a way to add a video track to an existing timeline in version 7.O?
Can’t find it in the manual / commands.

Rob, do you know if there’s a way to media manage all the dpx after I’ve relinked?
I have 11 tb of dpxs and I don’t need them all.
Like copy to another drive as you would do with FCP?

Great! My only concern is that the film was scanned entirely before they started editing.
So I’ll have to deal with an enormous selection of DPXs.
Also did you export an HD CAM or created a DCP?
do you suggest to export from FCP uncompressed?

We shot HD CAM and cut with final cut capturing offline at ntsc dvDVCpro.
