I made a bad choice then! Because the original video file was a .mp4 file from some JVC camcorder but Vegas couldn’t read it correctly for some reason. I would import and play but both the video and the audio were very jumpy. I read on other forums that this was due to an mp4 issue vegas has with quicktime. I did the fix and even uninstalled all apple software but it didn’t work. So, i found it much easier to convert to another format and .wmv seemed to import very smoothly with the best picture quality.
I’ll go ahead and try converting the mp4s to avi.
Another quick question:
In PROJECT – RENDER AS- I have the option to save in various file types but below that I also have a section called “template” which lets me choose from NTSC DV and PAL DV among others. The “others” are HD 1080-60i with a variation of 50i and 24p. What is the difference?
