Thanks so much for your very complete explanation. This really answers a lot of my questions. I’ve only done a few projects with Premier Pro, but I’ve noticed that every time I start a new project, it just runs slower and slower.
When I get home tonight, I’m going to do exactly as you suggest. I am sure it will make a huge difference.

Where would I look for the rendered preview files, and how do I recognize which ones I can delete without deleting something I’ll need later?
