Books are great for reference, but video tutorials are best for seeing how things are done. Be sure to check them out.

Unfortunately there is no way to do a global change to individual durations.

Here is a better method of timing stills to music.

Without more details I’m not sure how you expect us to help you with this.

This is well documented.

The message you quote is about importing a project file, not importing footage. You cannot import newer version project files into older versions of Premiere Pro.
